Before you start
Use a quiet space and stable internet connection.
Use headphones where possible to reduce echo.
Connect the microphone or headset you want to use.
Close apps that may also use your microphone.
Voice Practice now remembers your last sort and filter choices in this browser.
Step-by-step
From the left menu, click Voice Practice.
Use search and filters to find your station quickly.
Use the sort menu if needed. Easiest first is the default, and changing sort does not reload the page.
Pick a station from the list and wait for the session screen to load.
Review Scenario brief and Learning tips first so you have the case setup and the key coaching cues before you start.
If you want setup reminders, click the help icon in Session status. The full guidance stays hidden until you open it.
If the Microphone Check card appears, click Check microphone. Start Session stays unavailable until the required check passes or returns a warning.
When your browser asks for microphone access, click Allow. Stay quiet while room noise is measured, then speak naturally for a couple of seconds.
Review the result: Ready means the check passed; Check setup is a warning you can continue with; Fix before starting means you must correct the listed problem and click Check again.
Click Start Session, then wait a few seconds for setup. The live timer starts only when the patient is ready and listening.
Wait for the short tone and timer before speaking. Keep your microphone available while the patient simulation loads.
Speak naturally with the simulated patient until the timer finishes.
Wait a few seconds for your session to save.
If feedback says evaluation is not available right now, wait and come back later instead of restarting the same session immediately.
Open previous attempts and compare your progress.
Review feedback and choose one improvement target before starting another attempt.
If something goes wrong
Refresh the page and start the station again.
Check that the correct microphone is selected in your browser/device settings.
If the check reports Fix before starting, follow the listed correction and click Check again. Try moving closer for a quiet signal, moving somewhere quieter for background noise, or moving slightly away if the audio is too loud or distorted.
If your browser cannot run the check reliably, retry in Chrome or Edge on a laptop or desktop.
If you are asked to sign in again, log in and return to Voice Practice.
If audio is still failing, switch browser and retry the same station once.
